Trained at Melbourne University. Worked in rural General Practice in Victoria before returning to Hobart. Has special interest in travel medicine, aviation medicals & dive medicals.
Currently working Tuesday – Thursday – no longer works Fridays
Dr Marguerite Broadby
Trained at University of Tasmania, has special interest in all aspects of General Practice.
Currently working Monday & Tuesday mornings.
Dr Mark Fryer
Dr Mark Fryer (FRACGP, MBBS, USyd, BPharm) has started at our clinic in March 2018. He has moved to Sandy Bay from NSW with his wife and two young children. Dr Fryer takes a holistic approach to looking after his patients’ needs. He has expertise in all aspects of General Practice and has special interests in paediatrics, sports injuries, medication safety, skin cancer and minor surgical procedures. Currently available for appointments every day except Wednesdays.
Dr Helen Allison
Trained at Glasgow University, graduated MB ChB in 1993, spent some years doing Emergency Medicine before training as a GP. Moved to Tasmania in 2004 to work at the After Hours Doctor Clinic in Derwent Park as area of interest is emergency General Practice. Also works for GP Assist Tasmania, providing telephone triage and out of hours medical care for the state of Tasmania.
Appointments available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at Sandy Bay Clinic.
Currently on extended leave until 2022
Dr Jiyi (Christine) Cheong
Studied medicine at UTAS. Internship at North West Regional Hospital, Burnie and RHH.
Special interests – Mental Health & Womens Health
Hobbies – Dance, Photography, Collecting Lego…..all of which Christine has no time for at the moment with an active 2YO in tow.
Dr Sou Gouy
Trained at University of Tasmania, has worked in RHH and Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Adelaide.
